Ministry of Minority Affairs Scholarship Slabs
Central minority scholarships are provided to encourage education among notified communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, Jain) with targeted financial transfers.
Active Scholarship Limits
- Pre-Matric Scholarship: Covers Classes 9 and 10 (discontinued for 1-8). The annual family income ceiling is ₹1 Lakh. SEC 50% marks in previous exam are required.
- Post-Matric Scholarship: Covers Class 11, 12, ITI, UG/PG degrees, and PhD. The family income ceiling is ₹2 Lakh. SEC 50% marks are required.
- Merit-cum-Means: Covers technical and professional undergraduate or postgraduate programs. The family income ceiling is ₹2.5 Lakh. SEC 50% marks are required.
