About Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana
The **Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana** is a flagship program of the Government of Rajasthan. It was introduced to encourage the birth of girls, check female infanticide, promote gender equity, and ensure that girls are healthy and complete their secondary schooling up to Class 12.
Disbursement Cycle
The total benefit of ₹50,000 is split over six milestones corresponding to crucial life and educational stages:
- Installment 1 (₹2,500): Disbursed immediately on the birth of a girl child in a government hospital or accredited private medical center.
- Installment 2 (₹2,500): Released upon the child completing one year of age and getting all primary immunizations (BCG, Polio, DPT, Measles).
- Installment 3 (₹4,000): Provided when the child is admitted to Class 1 in a government school.
- Installment 4 (₹5,000): Disbursed when the child enters Class 6 in a government school.
- Installment 5 (₹11,000): Released on entry to Class 10 in a government school.
- Installment 6 (₹25,000): A final cash incentive given to the girl when she successfully clears her Class 12 board examination from a government school.
Statutory Limitations
The scheme applies to girl children born in the state of Rajasthan on or after **June 1, 2016**. Furthermore, the cash benefits from the third installment onwards are restricted to the **first two living daughters** of the family, to promote family planning guidelines.
