  • The Concept: Gujarat DISCOMs calculate residential bills by combining base telescopic energy slabs with a fuel surcharge (FPPPA) and fixed demand charges, then applying state electricity duty on the total. Urban connections incur higher slab rates and 15% duty, whereas rural connections enjoy lower tariffs and 10% duty.
