What is the official marking scheme for NEET 2026?

The NEET exam consists of 180 questions to be attempted out of 200. Each correct response rewards you with +4 marks, while each incorrect response deducts -1 mark. Unattempted questions carry 0 marks, out of a 720 maximum.

What score is required to secure a seat at AIIMS Delhi?

For General category students, a near-perfect score of 710 to 720 marks is required. Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST) generally require a score of 695 to 705 marks to secure admission.

What is the difference between the qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff?

The qualifying cutoff is the minimum score to qualify for counselling (typically 132-140 marks). The All India Quota admission cutoff is the score at which the last government seat is allotted (usually 590-600+ marks).

Can I challenge the NEET provisional answer key in 2026?

Yes. NTA allows candidates to challenge the provisional answer key online by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per challenged answer during the challenge window.

Is there any age limit to appear for the NEET 2026 exam?
